Earlier this year we announced our software as a service (SaaS) offering with the Cortex XSOAR 8 release. XSOAR 8 offers the benefits of tight integration with the industry-leading Cortex platform and its other cybersecurity products. In addition, XSOAR 8 delivers new capabilities and features designed to boost the effectiveness and efficiency of the security operations center (SOC).

The launch of the XSOAR SaaS solution isn’t the end of our journey but rather the beginning of an exciting new chapter, the chapter of automation simplification.

XSOAR, as the leader of the SOAR market, provides valuable content out of the box and enables organizations to automate their simple and most complex security processes to save SOC analysts time and provide a faster mean time to response (MTTR).

Writing complex automation and handling many edge cases requires complex automation support, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration. XSOAR 8.4 includes a series of improvements aimed at simplifying the life of automation engineers, XSOAR admins, and SOC analysts.

Highlights of Cortex XSOAR 8.4 include the following:

• New and improved filters and transformers to streamline playbook configuration and troubleshooting.
• In-context access to documentation and product help from right within XSOAR.
• Exportable, detailed incident reports.
• New and enhanced automation content packs for Cortex XDR, Prisma Cloud, and more.
• Better content management with option to choose between an integral XSOAR-managed content repository or a private content repository managed by the XSOAR user to efficiently track their own content.
