Over the past few months, you’ve seen a number of announcements about our solutions for virtualized data center and cloud environments, particularly concerning our partnerships with VMware and Citrix. There’s a lot of valuable information to sort out, so here are some of the best places to start:

During RSA Conference 2014, we announced availability of our joint integration with VMware, including a new VM-series model, the VM-1000-HV, specifically designed for the VMware NSX solution. You can find detailed information on our Server Virtualization and Cloud page, including our NSX solution brief and VM-Series technical whitepapers.

We also hosted a webinar with VMware earlier in March, and there will be more in the coming months. Please contact webinars@paloaltonetworks.com for more information on future events and how to access archived recordings.

VM-Series deployments are also now available for the Citrix NetScaler SDX platform, which we discussed as part of our PAN-OS 6.0 launch in January and officially announced with Citrix in early February (click through to see a video from our respective product management teams).

We have two webinars, scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, to deep-dive into our integration with Citrix NetScaler.

Danelle Au, Palo Alto Networks director, security solutions, and Sridhar Devarapalli, Citrix director, product management, will explain how NetScaler SDX combines with Palo Alto Networks VM-Series to provide application availability, acceleration and security needed in today’s mobile and cloud environments.
